City of Palm Desert Best Ball Championship

Are you ready to be crowned golf champion of Palm Desert? The City of Palm Desert and Desert Willow Golf Resort are pleased to announce the 4th Annual City of Palm Desert Best Ball Championship.

This Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 23, 2020 and Sunday, May 24, 2020, team up to compete in TWO rounds of golf and prove you're the best in town!

Saturday, May 23, 2020
  • Registration at 7:00 AM
  • Continental Breakfast at 7:00 AM
  • Shotgun Start on Mountain View at 8:00 AM
Sunday, May 24, 2020
  • Registration at 7:00 AM
  • Continental Breakfast at 7:00 AM
  • Shotgun Start on Firecliff at 8:00 AM
  • Awards Luncheon at 1:00 AM

Entry Information

  • $225.00 per player (all players receive tee prize)
  • Practice round included in entry fee and can be booked 1 week in advance after 11:00 AM
  • Continental breakfast (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Awards luncheon on Sunday
  • Par 3 challenges (closest to the pin)
  • Raffle prizes

  • Flights determined based on participation levels and subject to change
  • Awards and trophies
  • Men's Gross/Net and Women's Gross/Net each Flight


  • Championship Flight (Combined Indexes of 12 or Less)
    Purple TeesMen (all ages)

  • 12+ Handicap Flight (Combined Indexes of 12 or More)
    Lavender Tees: Men (all ages)
    Tan Tees: Seniors (ages 65+)

  • Ladies (all ages)
    Green Tees


Current USGA/GHIN Handicap from April 2020 is required for any net competition but will not be required for gross flight.
