Q: Do I have to be a member to book an event at Desert Willow Golf Resort?
A: Desert Willow Golf Resort is a public golf course, so everyone is welcome to host an event at our club.
Q: I would like to see the venue, if I drop in on a Saturday will someone be available to give me a tour.
A: Please contact our Catering and Events Department to schedule a tour. We would be pleased to show you around and discuss our packages in greater at a time a Catering Representative will be available to dedicate at least 45 minutes for a site tour (we often book up appointments at every hour over the weekend).
Q: Do any hotels offer a discounted rate if I book my wedding at Desert Willow Golf Resort? Does Desert Willow Golf Resort offer a shuttle to hotels?
A: Desert Willow Golf Resort is not affiliated with any hotels, though there are several hotels within a 5 mile radius who our clients have booked discounted group room blocks with (please see Director of Catering for suggestions). We do not offer shuttle service but we can arrange transportation through our local vendors or provide you with their information.
Q: Will I be able to taste the menu before the wedding day?
A: Yes, Desert Willow Golf Resort arranges a complimentary tasting for the couple tying the knot. Tastings are a great chance for couples to see their selected full plated presentation and taste their preselected menu prior to the big day. Desert Willow Golf Resort hosts Wedding Tastings for couples no more than 3 months prior to the Wedding Date as we ask that couples come prepared to discuss Guest Count, Menu Selection, Bar Arrangements, Room Diagram/ Layout, Ceremony and Reception Setup Details, Additional Equipment or Vendor Needs that are often time premature any further than 3 months prior to the wedding date.
Q: Can you accommodate an outside event?
A: Absolutely. The Lakeview Terrace can accommodate up to 240, the upper comfortably seats up to 130 and the Lower Terrace comfortable seats up to 110. However, additional rental items may be required an additional charge for outdoor receptions.
Q: Do we have to use approved vendors when we book at your club?
A: We have vendors that we recommend and work with on a regular basis, but you are welcome to bring in any other professional vendors you like who have liability insurance and a business license.
Q: What time can vendors access the space for set up prior to an event?
A: Vendors can access the room 2 hours prior to the event start time.
Q: Do you allow live music, bands, or DJ’s on the premises for an event?
A: Yes, our event team will assist you with your requirements and arrangements.
Q: Does Desert Willow Golf Resort have a room available for the Bride and Groom to get ready?
A: Yes, we have a ladies’ and a men’s locker room that are available for the Wedding Party to use, though we are a public facility and the Locker Rooms are open to all of our guests.
Q: Will the golf course be open during my event?
A: The golf course is open from dawn until dusk and our golf shop has specific hours dependent upon the time of the year.
Q: What size tables do you use to seat guests and how many fit at each table?
A: We typically seat guests at 72” rounds that seat 8-12 guests. We also have 66” rounds available upon request that seat up to 8 guests.
Q: Is there sales tax on the service charge?
A: Yes, in the State of California we are required to charge sales tax on our service charge.
Q: Can I host a Rehearsal Dinner at Desert Willow Golf Resort?
A: Absolutely, please ask the Director of Catering for our Rehearsal Dinner Flyer.
